Art Show for Education

Girl’s Learn International Club of MHS presents: An Art Show for Education

From May 15th-May 19th a collection of works by local artists as well as students will be on display. All pieces are in response to the “Girl Effect” video and/or the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The show is a benefit for our partner school inIndia, which is one of the few in its region that educates both female and male students!

Opening is Sunday, May 15th from 1-4 pm.    The collection will also be part of the Montclair Gallery Walk on Thursday, May 19th from 6-9 pm.   Brassworks Gallery is open from 8-6 pm on weekdays.

STRUCTURAL HARMONIES: TWO ARTISTS INTERPRET THE NATURE AND BEAUTY OF MAN MADE STRUCTURES
 
From October 15th until the end of the year we will feature the work of 2 artists, Allan Gorman and Lynda D’Amico.   See the images below for examples of their work.   If you want to see more images of the paintings these artists have completed you can visit their websites listed below:
 
    
 
This show will also benefit the Childrens Hospital of NJ (Beth Israel in Newark) as 20% of the proceeds will go to the funds being raised by that Hospital.
 
  
Brassworks is committed to helping local artists.   We have 3-4 shows per year with openings that are usually very well attended.   We coordinate shows with the Montclair Arts Council and are usually on their gallery walk.
