Art Show for Education

Girl’s Learn International Club of MHS presents: An Art Show for Education

From May 15th-May 19th a collection of works by local artists as well as students will be on display. All pieces are in response to the “Girl Effect” video and/or the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The show is a benefit for our partner school inIndia, which is one of the few in its region that educates both female and male students!

Opening is Sunday, May 15th from 1-4 pm.    The collection will also be part of the Montclair Gallery Walk on Thursday, May 19th from 6-9 pm.   Brassworks Gallery is open from 8-6 pm on weekdays.

Phase 2 of our solar array installation is now complete with the installation of 60 panels on the 1 story building.   Phase 3 which consists of installing solar film on the 2 story building has already begun and should be completed within the next week.

Starting April 8th Brassworks will begin the 2nd phase of a project to install a 27 kilowatt solar array system on our 2 buildings.  The first phase was completed at the end of last year which consisted of the installation of inverters in the electrical room (pictured above).  These inverters turn direct current which will be produced by the panels into alternating current.

The second phase will consist of installing solar panels on the older 1930’s one story building and the 3rd phase will consist of installing lightweight solar film on the 2 story building.

On February 4th, from 6-9pm there is an opening for a new show at Brassworks.   The public is invited.  

The show will feature work by Janet Boltax and Marion Held.

As of 9/1/10 we have a space availble in our hotel suite.   This is an office that is set up already with phone, internet connections and shares a conference room.   This space is ready to go for anyone who doesn’t want the fuss of setting up an office but just wants to move right in.
