The company was created by three founders that had all recently, and suddenly, become caregivers for their parents and grandparents, and felt that there was no single place to get the help they needed.

3/29/10  Yvette Lucas and John Fletcher

Last Friday night a well attended opening at Brassworks featured the photography work of Yvette Lucas and John Fletcher.   Entitled ” Stick and Stone” this exhibit will be open during the weekdays from 8 am- 5 pm and on weekends by appointment.  Click on the photograph below to see more images of the exhibition.

146 artists participated contributing 240 works of art.   After opening the doors at 2:00 last Sunday most of the work was gone within an hour with many generous donations from those who came to look at the work.  An anonymous donor matched donations made at the door which helped push the total contributed to $35,000.   Thanks to everyone especially the team who worked hard to put this together.

For those following the artists that we have supported and who are interested in local art be aware that Parkway studios is having an open house.   Harriet Finck (one of our artists) is a participant.   We have attended this open house in the past and it is a great experience.  If you are looking for something to do…try it out!
